When you think about your Current Means, you are adopting a mindset of abundance. Taking inventory of what you already have helps create momentum and allows you to take steps from an assets-based position, rather than being stopped by focusing on what you don’t have.
Typical assets that come to mind are money and time, but a lot more can contribute to your progress. Consider the following:
Experiences: Have you traveled? Been a counselor or coach? Are you a middle child?
Skills: What are you good at? What brings you joy?
Relationships: Who are you connected with? Who do your connections know?
Moving forward, make it a priority to assess your Current Means before identifying what you need.
Extra Credit: Think about a recent accomplishment. How did your prior experiences, skills, and/or relationships contribute to your progress?
