Last of the Tuskegee Airmen Recap

Dr. Harold Brown is one of the last of the famed Tuskegee Airmen, and we brought him to the Twin Cities for an evening of heroism, history and inspiration. One of the first African American pilots allowed to join the U.S. Army Air Corps, Harold’s heroic feats include showing incredible determination to become an aviator in a deeply segregated military; being shot down over Austria, where he was rescued by an Austrian constable from villagers intent on lynching him; spending months in a POW camp and serving as one of our nation’s first jet pilots during the Korean War.
