Priorities are what you regard as more essential than everything else. They generate clarity, energy, and appropriate space to solve problems. We designed the Studio/E Priority Coach to help us identify and focus on our top three priorities.
To use the tool, reflect on your top three priorities for a certain time period, typically 30 days. (In times of extreme unknown, you could do this practice on a daily basis.) Break down your priorities into the following elements:
- Priority name
- Best results if the priority is completed
- Obstacles to achieving the priority
- Actions needed to overcome the obstacles
- Triggers (external reminders to work on the priority)
Extra Credit: Download the Studio/E Priority Coach, print it out and fill in your top three priorities. Keep it somewhere you’ll see it daily.
