Do you have a fancy title? Are you working hard to earn one? That’s great, but titles matter a lot less than we give them credit for.
That’s because you are more than your title.
You are not an “editor;” you are a person who understands human behavior, knows grammar, meets deadlines, and writes catchy headlines.
You are not an “assistant;” you are organized, skilled at seeing the whole picture, great at prioritizing, and adept at completing tasks before someone asks you to do them.
Your knowledge, skills, and relationships are what make you – not the words on your business card.
Extra Credit: Think about three personal accomplishments you’re proud of. Then, list the elements you used to achieve each one (think knowledge, skills, and relationships). Dig into this reservoir when you need a confidence boost.
